Washington, DC - In response to new regulations related to the Federal Education Tax Credit Program proposed by the Trump administration and now open for public comment, People For the American Way President Svante Myrick released the following statement:
“These new rules will help implement yet another Trump effort to undermine public schools by draining students and money from them. The program includes no effective oversight on the public funds that could be better used to educate needy students, rather than help the wealthy. Congress should reconsider this damaging and dangerous program.”
