“Today, People For the American Way applauds the progress made by the Senate Judiciary Committee for advancing 19 of President Joe Biden’s extraordinarily qualified, fair-minded judicial nominees. Despite the unfounded attacks and inflammatory allegations aimed at a number of these nominees by Republican committee members during today’s hearing, Senate Judiciary Chair Durbin skillfully moved these nominees for lifetime federal judicial positions out of committee. We encourage the full Senate under the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Schumer to promptly confirm these stellar nominees.”
