Today, People For the American Way (PFAW) released a new television and digital ad urging viewers to call their senators to oppose President Trump’s Supreme Court pick, Judge Neil Gorsuch. The ad features Jeff Perkins, the father of “Luke P.”, a student with autism whose lawsuit seeking adequate educational options was rejected by Judge Gorsuch. It will run starting this weekend in Missouri, Maine, Indiana, North Dakota, Nevada and Montana, as well as in Washington, DC.

“At his hearings this week, Neil Gorsuch only underscored our fear that on the Supreme Court he’d continue his pattern of putting the interests of corporations and the powerful ahead of everyday Americans,” said PFAW President Michael Keegan. “Luke’s case is a poignant example of how real people’s lives have been harmed by Gorsuch’s extreme ideology on the bench. The fact that Judge Gorsuch’s opinion was unanimously overturned by the Supreme Court just this week underscores how out of the mainstream this nominee truly is.”
