In the wake of a deadly shooting at a Catholic school in Minnesota last week, right-wing activists have seized on the shooter's reported transgender identity to promote their own anti-trans agenda.
Among those joining the crusade was far-right broadcaster Steve Deace, a virulently anti-LGBTQ podcaster who has repeated called for violence against his political opponents, including openly declaring that he wants to see "antifa members hanging from gallows in Trump ties."
On Thursday, Deace opened his program by delivering a lengthy vehemently anti-trans rant.
"This tranny madness needs to be completely eradicated from every social institution and polite conversation in United States of America," Deace declared. "And not just for children; any age, regardless. It cannot happen. The sheer lunacy of this, no human civilization can be civilized and sustained it. Just as we would not suspect to turn on a conversation on CNN about why incest is great and fathers should rape their daughters, that's what should happen with this."
"It is such an obvious, fundamental, intrinsically evil lunacy it cannot be tolerated," he continued. "Any institution that attempts to do so will be shut down, defunded, and the people involved in it all criminally charged with things like manslaughter; serious felonies."
Deace fumed that the media "just gaslights you to your face" on transgender issues.
"[They] literally just ate as much leftover drive-thru gas station chili as they could, waited for you to arrive, dropped their pants and emptied their intestines right down your throat and called it news," Deace bellowed. "They called it news!"
"This cannot be tolerated in human polite society. Period," Deace proclaimed. "It cannot happen. We will not welcome it. We will not have it. It will not be funded, it will not be encouraged, it will be criminalized, it will be punished. You cannot do this. It is very clear and all the evidence continues to mount that opening this latch of Pandora's box is too much lunacy for even this most technologically enlightened advanced society God's ever permitted to sustain. And so if we can't, it's not sustainable. It cannot happen."
"What would we do with the psychiatrist who recommends or a school counselor who recommends that a daughter go home and get raped by her dad? What would we do to that person? Would they be charged with a crime? Yes. Would they lose their accreditations? Yes. So what should happen here? That!" Deace screamed. "That is what should happen here and nothing less, or you're going to have more; you'll bury more bodies. You'll have more children that will never come home again. More."
"How's your resolve now?" Deace seethed. "Is this on? Do we know the stakes we're playing for here yet? Has the message been received?"
"You cannot share a country with this," Deace spat. "So don't!"
