Common Sense Governance

Round-up logo
  • Doug Wilson is establishing a church in Washington, D.C. because "with the change in administration, we believe that there will be many strategic opportunities with numerous evangelicals who will be present both in and around the Trump administration."
  • On a semi-related note, pastor Brooks Potteiger, who is affiliated with Wilson, revealed that he's been invited to the Pentagon to preach at the inaugural "Secretary's Prayer Meeting," which will be a monthly event. This makes sense given that Pete Hegseth was a member of Potteiger's church before becoming Secretary of Defense.
  • Tony Perkins believes that the new pope "was selected as a check to American power [and] to create division at home for the Trump administration."
  • Shane Vaughn defends President Donald Trump's plan to accept a $400 million jumbo jet as a "gift" from the royal family of Qatar: "That’s not an emolument. That’s not corruption. That’s common sense governance."
  • Finally, Joel Webbon wants to make clear that he has enough hate in his heart for both Judaism and Islam: "I already hate Judaism and Islam with a fierce hatred."
