On Monday night's edition of the Christian nationalist program "FlashPoint," host Gene Bailey and his guests discussed the "No Kings" rallies that took place all over the country last weekend during which millions of Americans turned out to protest the Trump administration's increasing authoritarianism.
Bailey and guests dismissed the significance of the protests and declared that America does in fact have a king: Jesus Christ.
"We do have a king," Bailey declared. "We do worship that king, and the government rests at his feet."
Right-wing commentator Ed Rush agreed, proclaiming that God has made Christians "kings on the earth" who are to be "in charge of everything."
"Not only do we have a king, but we have the King of Kings," Rush said. "Not only do we serve the Lord, but we serve the Lord of Lords. I quoted Isaiah 9:7 a little bit earlier—'of the increase of his government and of his peace there will be no end'—and basically what that tells you is that no matter what, He is increasing his government and his peace."
"Maybe from 2016 to 2020, it's kind of slower than it is right now, but God is moving," Rush continued. "And he's made us, according to the Bible, kings and priests ... God has put kings on the earth; it's you, Flashpoint Army. God has given you dominion and authority over your place and your sphere of interest. And the moment that we recognize that as the church, and the moment we grab a hold of it and understand that God has given you unbelievable authority over this world, we will be in charge of everything. And I mean, everything. I'm talking about not only the government, but also the school system ... we will be in charge of the legal system, will be in charge of the education system."
"That's not Christian nationalism, that's just Christian internationalism," Rush declared. "So I think, we might as well get started now."
