On Friday, Right Wing Watch reported that President Donald Trump's religious-right activists have been nearly unanimous in their demand that the Trump administration lend its full support to Israel in its growing conflict with Iran because they believe that it is key to bringing about the End Times and the return of Jesus Christ.
On Saturday, after Trump ordered U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, MAGA cultist and self-proclaimed Christian nationalist Lance Wallnau immediately took to social media to post a video in which he claimed that Trump's actions were setting the stage for the rise of the Antichrist.
After claiming that Trump had been divinely raised up to topple the enemies of God, Wallnau warned that Iran might respond to the attack by activating "terror cells" in the United States to carry out deadly attacks in major cities like Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York because "those are the primary cities where the Persian community fits in."
"Persians are not Arabs," Wallnau said, praying that God will "expose what needs to be seen at the airports, anything with commercial airlines—that's what they did last time. They won't hijack, they will just attack them—Let's pray that they are thwarted by angels in Jesus' name and that God will turn whatever happens."
"Listen, if they do anything," he continued, "you know what that's gonna do? It's gonna put Trump's deportation agenda on steroids and 70 percent of Americans will say, 'If we've got these people—terrorists—in here shooting and trying to do mass events of injuring us, get them the heck out! All of them.' That's how Americans are."
On the supernatural side, Wallnau said that the strike on Iran was setting the stage for the End Times.
"Jesus is coming back and I believe that this is all part of him setting the stage for his return," Wallnau said. "It's going to be an opening of the window through the State Department for the gospel of freedom to be preached into the Middle East, into Asia during these a couple of years we've got with Trump. We've got to move fast [to see] that this Gospel of the Kingdom goes into all the nations. "
"Then I do think it's a possibility if Iran's vacuum isn't filled in a reformation, it will be filled with a bitter revenge that will take a little while and then you're going to see the Antichrist and wars in the Middle East come out of the unresolved bitterness against Israel and United States," he added. "This will fester and feed into the Antichrist emerging in that region."
