With Virginia's off-year elections rapidly approaching, the religious-right is mobilizing to propel Christian nationalist Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears into the governor's mansion.
In fact, the Christian nationalist conspiracy theory program "FlashPoint" has essentially turned itself into an arm of Sears' campaign, bringing her on to the program regularly while promoting a religious-right letter-writing campaign targeting Christians in Virginia and urging them to vote in the upcoming elections.
Sears made another appearance on the program Tuesday night, where "apostle" Dutch Sheets and the other guests prayed that God will "move the heavens" to ensure that Sears is elected.
"We want to cover you in prayer live tonight on the program," announced host Gene Bailey following his interview with Sears, asking Sheets to do the honors.
"Father, we thank you for what you're doing in our nation, moving upon righteous people to get involved and even to move into government," Sheets declared. "Lord, you have to have the right people in government. You said righteousness exalts a nation; sin is a reproach. Lord, you raised up the Esthers in scripture, Deborahs, and we believe you've raised up Winsome Sears, Lord."
"We believe it is your will for her to sit in the governor's seat of Virginia, the covenant root of our nation," he continued. "Lord, we ask you to move upon voters, we ask you to move upon the church and believers to vote their conscience, to vote biblical values. We ask you to give her favor. We ask you to get the right information out there. We ask for all these people we need for phone calls and these voter guides, Lord. And give her wisdom and give her team wisdom. Lord, we just ask you to do what you do."
"We ask for your kingdom to come in Virginia, your will to be done in Virginia, move the heavens and do what's needed to get this thing across the finish line and give us the righteous government we need there," Sheets concluded. "In Jesus' name we pray. Amen."
'Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, you've heard from Flashpoint tonight, we love you and I look forward to having you back on and addressing you as Governor Winsome Sears," proclaimed Bailey following the prayer.
"Thank you, Flashpoint," replied Sears. "Thank you for all that you're doing. You know, you are my Gideon Army. I said to the Lord so many times, 'You've given me a Daniel call, but with Gideon resources; Lord, I need more help.' ... We pray on our knees, but then we pray with our money, we pray with our hands knocking on doors, making phone calls, we pray writing those letters. It's going to take all of us and God bless all of you for doing this because I could not do it on my own."
