The morning after TPUSA’s highly hyped and widely panned alternative to the official Super Bowl halftime celebration, the MAGA group’s political action committee sent supporters a fundraising email with an alarmist message: “The left is activating their terror cells.”
“The radical Left is more fired up than I have ever seen them!” writes the email signer Jack Posobiec, a conspiracy theorist and MAGA activist.
Posobiec warns darkly, “And if they win, I promise they will vent their rage on any conservative that they find.”
The email includes no evidence to back up the “terror cells” warning. Instead, it warns that the “radical left” is “chasing early votes” and “pouring money into ground operations in every battleground state that matters.” Sounds like politics.
“They’re rallying their supporters with lie after lie,” Posobiec writes, which more accurately describes MAGA movement leaders.
The closest Posobiec comes to backing up the “terror cells” claim is when he writes, “They’re mobilizing an Antifa army against ICE operations in Minnesota and across the country.” But Americans have seen who is terrorizing people in Minnesota and elsewhere; they know it’s ICE and Border Patrol agents who have seemingly been given free rein to brutalize peaceful protesters and legal observers without any fear that they will be held accountable. The cruelty has turned more Americans against Trump’s mass-deportation project.
Posobiec’s email asks for contributions to support TPUSA’s plans to deploy “ballot chasers”—activists who contact ideologically aligned voters to ensure that they cast a ballot—to critical swing states. “Turning Point PAC is building the largest ballot-chasing operation in U.S. history,” the email claims. “It will determine not only the midterms but the Presidency in 2028.”
Like TPUSA’s halftime show, Posobiec’s email invokes Charlie Kirk, the late TPUSA founder who was murdered last year. He writes, “with Charlie gone, it’s on you and me to carry that legacy forward.”
