  • Mark Meckler supports Trump's takeover of Washington, DC, but "it's not enough": "Home rule should be abolished entirely. I think the DC city council is an abomination, the DC mayor is an abomination. They should be removed."
  • Dusty Deevers believes that the purpose of government is "to glorify God."
  • Finally, Doug Wilson says that he does not "believe that evangelicals who voted for [Kamala] Harris are demonic," only that "they talked themselves into voting for demons."

Mark Meckler is a right-wing activist and pundit.  Meckler leaders the Convention of States project, which wants to rewrite the U.S. Constitution and, he says, reverse more than a century of progressive policies. Meckler promotes bogus Christian nationalist history and MAGA conspiracy theories. 
Douglas Wilson

Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson is a far-right Christian nationalist pastor and political activist. Notorious for publishing a book downplaying the evils of slavery, Wilson promotes extreme political positions: he opposes women having the right to vote, believes that non-Christians should not be allowed to hold public office or worship in public, and wants to see the Apostles’ Creed incorporated into the U.S. Constitution. Wilson is based in Idaho and exerts nationwide influence through his publishing house Canon Press, the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, and a network of “classical Christian” schools. In 2025, Wilson planted a church in Washington, D.C. to bring Christians working for the Trump administration into alignment with his worldview.
