Right-wing evangelist Lance Wallnau is a self-proclaimed Christian nationalist and unabashed Trump cultist who has, for years, been one of the leading purveyors of Seven Mountains Dominionism, a radical theology that advocates having right-wing Christians control all aspects of society.
Followers of Seven Mountains theology believe that they are to “do whatever is necessary” to take control of the seven main “mountains” that shape our culture—education, government, media, business, arts and entertainment, family, and religion—in order to implement the will of God throughout the nation and the world.
Since the reelection of President Donald Trump, Wallnau has been working diligently to "seize the institutions of the federal government" in order to bring about a global Christian revival in preparation for "the great End Time harvest."
On Wednesday, Wallnau posted a rather unhinged video on his Facebook page in which he praised Trump's relentlessly authoritarian attacks on various cultural institutions, thereby opening the door for right-wing Christians to take over several of "these high places."
"I'm telling you, man, Steve Colbert's out. Howard Stern's out," Wallnau celebrated. "This is what you're praying for: The seven mountains of influence. Culture! If all we do is have our little parties over here in revival land and we don't see the grenades going over there into the top of academia, in the top of Wall Street, in the top of business, in the top of government, in the top of the intelligence department, in the top of the Kennedy Center; if we don't go after these high places—Jesus said it, he said, 'When the enemy is swept out, if you don't occupy that territory, he will come back seven times worse.'"
"A lot of Christians are all, 'Well, what's going to happen, Lance, when the Democrats come back? They're gonna come after us.' Yeah, of course they're gonna go out with a vengeance [but only] if they have anything left to use," Wallnau added. "But right now, God's letting you be a wrecking ball."
Wallnau grew increasingly agitated as he declared that God has anointed Trump to save America by giving right-wing Christians control of all the levers of power.
"Let me tell you, something's happening. Trump is smiting them arrows like Jehu riding that chariot," Wallnau proclaimed. "He's got principalities and powers all befuddled. He's got the anointing on him and the devil never should have tried to kill him because when the devil overreaches, God says, 'That's going to cost you. You want to take his life like that when I told you not to touch his body and you tried to take his skull and fragment it with a bullet? That's gonna cost you!' And I'll tell you what, the devil's paying right now."
"Enjoy what is looks like when you've got an anointed man and your prayers are behind it," Wallnau continued. "I hope this provokes the hell out of everybody that hates us Christian nationalists that are Pentecostals, that are praying people because I'm telling you what's happening with Trump right now, there's a spirit of God on him like Jehu because his ear throbs every couple of days to remind him you should be dead [but] I spared your life to save America."
