In 2024, self-proclaimed Christian nationalist and unabashed Trump cultist Lance Wallnau launched a campaign to travel to swing states around country ahead of the election in order to break the “demonic strongholds” that he said were preventing Republicans from winning elections. Wallnau’s effort took the form of the “Courage Tour,” a series of multi-day events during which attendees heard from religious-right activists and even candidates like Vice President J.D. Vance who mobilized them politically during the daily sessions, while the evening sessions were dedicated to spiritual revival and miracle healings led by right-wing evangelist and fellow Trump cultist Mario Murillo.
After President Donald Trump won reelection, Wallnau saw an opportunity to evangelize the world with the help of the White House in preparation of the End Times. That effort would likely be hampered if Democrats win control of Congress in the upcoming midterms, which is why Wallnau has been growing increasingly alarmed by that prospect. As such, Wallnau announced during an appearance on the "FlashPoint" program Wednesday that he is working on identifying key states for a similar effort in this election cycle after hearing from religious-right election guru Ralph Reed that the midterms could potentially be a "bloodbath" for the GOP.
"I'm having a special meeting in D.C. with some people," Wallnau revealed. "I'll come back and I'm going to give you what I believe are the four or five states that we need to prioritize. We can't cover 50 states, we can't cover 30 campaigns ... but there are four or five key states where you might have a trifecta, meaning it might be a governor, a congressman, and a senator [up for election]. The church better show up there or you'll end up like crazy Minnesota."
Wallnau reported that he was at the White House recently where he and other evangelical MAGA leaders met with Trump, during which Trump specifically asked them to pray for the midterms.
"We went to go pray," Wallnau declared. "We prayed for him and he brought up the midterms. We prayed and he literally said, 'Pray for the midterms. That's a serious issue if you're gonna pray about anything.'"
"I left that meeting with Ralph Reed," he continued. "I said, 'Ralph, you're the most informed guy I know on the election. What do you think?' He said, 'Look, if we don't get it together in 90 days'—and that was a month ago—he said, 'Lance, it'll be a bloodbath.' He said, 'The left is doing No Kings marches all over the country. You give them a flashpoint in Minnesota and they will show up with the BLM/antifa activists and they'll cover it favorably on the news.' He said, 'They want this so bad. They hate Trump that much. He's exerting so much influence that they'll crawl on glass to get him out.' But then he said this, 'What do you see on our side?' He said, 'Our side's not focused.'"
"It's a midterm year," Wallnau warned. "I'm not excited about us preaching to the choir about how great America is on the 250th [anniversary] while the left is out planning on running the ballot machine, the harvest machine—without voter ID—and they're going to make sure they win like they do 83 percent of the time on midterms. I want to see that reversed."
